Dennis Hopper Dies At 74
positively?? You’re getting out of charge, 2010:
Dennis Hopper, whose portrayals of -addled, often deranged misfits in the noteworthy films “Easy Rider,” “Apocalypse Now” and “indelicate Velvet” drew on his early at fault-of-control experiences as part of a changed generation of Hollywood rebel, died at his poorhouse in Venice, Calif., on Saturday. He was 74.
According to the Times necrology written by Edward Wyatt, Mr. Hopper died from complications of prostate cancer. His obliteration was first reported by Reuters. (- NY Times)
fairly, this blows. I guess you could spar that with what he’s done to his fuselage in the past, it’s astonishing he lasted to 74, but this item still came out of nowhere (Hopper every now joked during the ESPY Awards approximately a decade ago, “I never would’ve made it as a baseball instrumentalist — with the amount of drugs I’ve done in my biography, I would’ve been suspended, , three or four games.”)
I’ll again have a personal affinity for Mr. Hopper, too, after a lifetime of people asking me “Is he your uncle” and me saying “Yes” and them saying “No he’s not!” and me saying “You’re virtuous, he’s not, then why’d you encourage?” (Sometimes people try to sound cooler by way of asking if Edward Hopper is my uncle, but I digress). On behalf of the D. Hoppers in the happy, he’ll be missed.
