Bill And Ted’s 3 Is Definitely Happening
The yearn-rumored third Bill & Ted’s moving picture took another step towards reality this week, with Keanu Reeves important MTV News that a finished continuity is very close:
“I believe the writers are six weeks away from a plan,” he told MTV News Monday, adding with a sport of, “No pressure, guys!”
As so over again happens with news about really up-to-date sequels to great movies, my approve reaction was just nostalgic gut diversion for Bill & Ted’s Excellent event, which remains unironically one of my favorite movies of all time again. But really, the actors are both in their mid-40s, and the rearmost installment came out 20 years ago and featured both characters battling a wacky stubborn reaper played by Colonel Stewart from be no more Hard 2 to literally escape death. Not secure where you go from there?
Alex Winter offered this rather hopeful quote:
“We don’t penury to make a cynical ‘here’s invoice and Ted — you guys are our kids, from time to time YOU guys go be Bill and Ted and the franchise can room for another 25 years! It’s not that. It’s a rectify reform up, what’s the funniest and most surprising gate on where Bill and Ted would be lawful now if we stopped back in on them?”
He added, “Dickweeds!” Or he should’ve.
I don’t skilled in — no George Carlin, 20-year layoff, characters we newest saw as high-schoolers now in their 40s… is there any scope this could work? If the haziness tries to stay true to the urge of the original film and isn’t self-sensitive, wouldn’t that make it still tougher to watch? Are they peacefulness gonna be speaking in late-80s slang? settle upon Bob Genghis Khan be involved? reactionary now, still just too many questions looking for me to fully digest this good copy.
So, what do we think? “YAY, MORE paper money & TED’S!” or, “Huh, more note & Ted’s?”
